A ripplefold drapery treatment was used to provide a casual style in a family room. The room already had a lot of visual stimulus with the furniture and wall treatments so a textured faux linen fabric from Greenhouse Fabrics was used for a sliding glass door and one window in the room.

Faux Linen has the look and feel of real linen but will not maintain the wrinkles inherent in 100% linen fabric. A sateen lining was used to protect the material while still allowing light to come through and show the beautiful weave of the fabric.

Working within the budget, stationary panels were fabricated that required less fabric than traversing panels while still providing for showing the much loved fabric. The savings from the fabric were used to provide the faux wood blinds by Comfortex Window Fashions. The faux wood blinds looked like real wood and operate the same but helped to stay within the client’s budget while providing a beautiful and functional window treatment.
